Probing Electron-Nuclear Couplings and Relaxation Dynamics of Multi-Electron States

I will present our work on the XUV-IR pump-probe study of nuclear motion mediated evolution of an electron hole near a conical intersection of a polyatomic molecule. I will show that we can make quantitative measurements of electronic couplings and monitor the role of decoherence in such dynamics, thereby probing the fundamental mechanisms responsible for the charge and energy redistribution in molecules. I will also briefly discuss our work on the study of the fragmentation pathways of multielectron exited states of oxygen molecule.
