Title: "Analog quantum simulation of real materials"
Abstract:
In this lecture, we will start explaining how quantum simulators can be used to study real materials, with a focus on quantum processing units (QPU) based on neutral atoms trapped in optical tweezers. After this general introduction, we will present a particular kind of systems, amorphous magnets, to illustrate the power of quantum simulators in regimes difficult to simulate with classical numerical methods.
Bio:
I obtained my PhD in theoretical physics at ICFO, in the group of Prof. M. Lewenstein. At PASQAL, I use advanced numerical techniques to develop theoretical proposals for neutral atom quantum simulators.
