"Accelerating photonic engineering using AI"
Abstract:
Engineering photonic systems typically requires large teams of engineers working through expensive iterations of design, manufacturing and testing phases. In this talk, I will discuss the potential of AI to accelerate and reduce the cost of this cycle, and how Axiomatic_AI is working to make this happen.
Bio:
My background is in photonics and optical systems, having led the development of high-resolution imaging systems for stratospheric earth observation at Near Space Labs and an ICFO Launchpad project to industrialize a smartphone UV imaging technology I developed. In 2018, I completed my PhD in photonics at ICFO in the QNOE group, where my research focused on developing hybrid systems of quantum emitters and 2D materials for quantum light control and nanomechanical sensing. At Axiomatic_AI, I now lead efforts to accelerate and democratise optical and photonics engineering, harnessing the potential of AI.
