"PICs for Quantum Random Number generation"
Abstract:
In this talk we will review the basics of PICs and their material platforms, and explain in detail how they can be used to implement high performance quantum random number generators. In particular we will explain the operating principles of this technology, the whole process of scaling up PIC production as well as future perspectives for further scaling as well as electronic cointegration.
Bio:
Miquel Rudé is currently Lead Photonics at Quside, where he leads the development of quantum entropy sources based on photonic integrated circuits. Before Quside, he was doing research on integrated photonics at ICFO, a work that led him to obtain a PhD in Photonics in 2016. He also holds an MsC in Photonics and a degree in Industrial Engineering, both from UPC.
