Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy

LSFM

Our research group specializes in Light Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM), an optical imaging technique that provide high spatial and temporal resolutions in 3D over a large field of view.

The understanding of complex biological phenomena often requires of optical microscopy methods that can provide 3D structural information of cells, tissues and living organisms, with high spatial and temporal resolutions over a large field of view. Light-sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM) not only excels at all these requirements but also provides a non-invasive platform where just the right amount of laser energy is deposited on the samples. We develop advanced microscopy methods based on LSFM for attacking challenging biological experiments, from fast volumetric imaging of biological dynamics, or fast fluidic 3D screening of biological samples, to high resolution imaging of large cleared tissues.
