Quantum Information for Optimization and Machine Learning
Atoms
The main goal of this project is to explore the new avenues opened by quantum information to solve computational problems in optimization and machine learning.
This goes from the use of quantum devices to solve these problems, to classical algorithms inspired in quantum information concepts and methods. Expected outcomes are:
(i) new algorithm for optimization, with an emphasis on ground-state problems in classical and quantum systems
(ii) use of classical machine learning methods to understand complex quantum systems and experimental setups
(iii) new methods for classical machine learning inspired in quantum physics or boosted by quantum hardware
(iv) quantum devices for quantum machine learning
