Hesp have joined ICFO in the months of August and September.
Dr. Deng Pan, who holds a PhD degree from the Institute of Physics in the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is now carrying out electromagnetic simulations and is involved in the research agenda related to nanoplasmonics and its applications in the group of ICREA Prof. at ICFO Javier García de Abajo.
Dr. Andreas Schell, who obtained his PhD in Humboldt University in Berlin and was a postdoc in Kyoto University since 2014, joins now the group of ICREA Prof. at ICFO Romain Quidant to work on Coherent optomechanics based on the levitation of a single NV center.
Dr. Jianbo Yin, PhD in Physical electronics from the University of Beijing, China, and postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Nanochemistry in the same university, is now working on Graphene Opto-electronics in the group of ICREA Prof. at ICFO Frank Koppens.
Dr. Alex Duarte, who holds a PhD in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, joins the group of ICREA Prof. at ICFO Niek van Hulst working on single molecule fs pump-probe.
Dr. Francesco Di Stasio, PhD in Physics and a Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher in the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the London Centre for Nanotechnology of the University College in London, is now working on QD light emitting Diodes in the group led by ICREA Prof at ICFO Gerasimos Konstantatos.
Dr. Loïc Henriet, who just got his PhD from the Centre for Theoretical Physics (CPHT) in Palaiseau, France, now works on the Theoretical condensed matter techniques applied to strongly interacting photons in the group led by ICFO Professor Darrick Chang.
Dr. Bernat Terrés, 2016 PhD at II. Physikalischen Institut of the RWTH Aachen and Peter- Grundberg-Institut 9 of the Forschungszentrums in Germany, now joins the group of ICREA Prof. at ICFO Frank Koppens to work on flagship graphene optoelectronic applications.
Dr. Hui Zhang, PhD in Photonics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland, now works on the fabrication of perovskite cells in Prof. Dr. Jordi Martorell’s group.
Mr. Biplob Nandy, who dis his Master Thesis research project at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali (Punjab, India), will now focus his research on mid-IR mediated attoscience in the group of ICREA Prof. at ICFO Jens Biegert.

Ms. Zahra Khanian, MSc in Electrical Engineering, Communication systems in the Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran) and Research Assistant at the Quantum Information Group at UAB, is now learning new methods and preparing to start the research on a joint project with Andreas Winter on quantum information theory, in the group of ICREA Prof. at ICFO Maciej Lewenstein.
