Two presentation awards for the Thermal Photonics group
Prof. Georgia Papadakis and PhD student Kartika Nimje receive awards at the 14th World Conference on Thermophotovoltaic Generation
The 14th World Conference on Thermophotovoltaic Generation of Electricity (TPV-14) was held online from May 31 to June 2, bringing together academics, engineers, national laboratories, and industry to discuss the latest advances in TPV and related areas.
The conference featured 170 registered participants, 12 posters, and 32 talks, including 9 invited talks, 10 early career speakers, and 9 student presentations. Prof. Georgia Papadakis, leader of the Thermal Photonics research group at ICFO was recognized as the BEST EARLY CAREER PRESENTATION for her talk title “Near-Field TPVs: The Route to High Voc”, while Kartika Nimje, PhD student in this group was awarded BEST POSTER for her excellent poster titled “Enabling hot carrier for high-performance thermophotovoltaics”.
Congratulations Georgia and Kartika!
