Quantum Physics featuring in the 2025 #Científiques Edition Poster

The Fundació Catalana de la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI) and the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) have revealed the poster for the next edition of  Científiques. In honor of the International Year of Quantum, the 2025 campaign features ICREA professor at ICFO Dr. Leticia Tarruell, leader of the Ultracold Quantum Gases research group. This fantastic poster was  designed by artist Maria Picassó i Piquer.

Since 2019, the #Científiques initiative has been held annually on February 11th, to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Each edition, hundreds of women scientists visit educational centers across Catalonia to share their professional experiences and scientific careers with younger generations.

Over these seven editions, many ICFOnians have participated in the initiative by visiting schools throughout Catalonia to engage with students and encourage younger generations to pursue a career in STEM.

Científiques is organized by the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), along with the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI) and in collaboration with the Generalitat’s Departments of Education, Research and Universities.

The registrations are open for scientists who are interested in participating in the 2025 edition.
