Graphene’s 10-year Roadmap
ICFO participates in the summary of the state-of-the-art of the research on graphene and its anticipated applications.
October 06, 2014
The journal Nanoscale has recently published a document of over 300 pages in which members of the Graphene Flagship summarize the current knowledge regarding graphene and graphene-based technologies and define a roadmap of its projections and potentially achievable goals for the next 10 years. In a single document, leading European scientists as well as major industry representatives, such as the vice-president of Airbus, along with stake holders from some non-European countries, define their position towards this promising material for future technologies.
Three ICFO Professors, Frank Koppens (co-leader of the European Optoelectronics Flagship work-package), Adrian Bachtold and Gerasimos Konstantatos, have all made contributions to this all-encompassing document which has been coordinated by Andrea C. Ferrari, founder and director of the Center for Graphene in Cambridge and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Graphene Flagship.
