Richi Talent program at ICFO
Project presented by student Raquel Panadero achieves highest evaluation

This year, for the third consecutive year, ICFO has participated in the Richi Talent contest in which high school students compete to solve a theme-based challenge created by companies and institutions of international prestige through a research project. ICFO’s project was based on quantum physics, supervised by Dr. Federica Beduini of ICFO’s KTT Unit. The challenge was accepted by seven students who wrote short essays about an aspect of quantum physics.
Raquel Panadero Palenzuela, a student at Col·legi Badalonès in Badalona, wrote an excellent piece about quantum cryptography obtaining the maximum mark from ICFO’s evaluating committee. In addition, she was selected as one of the best student in the entire Richi Talent program for which she was awarded the opportunity to attend the Richi Innovation Camp in Boston. Next summer Raquel will spend 3 weeks in this international immersion campus experience that aims to foster student talent and excellence during the pre- university educational phase.
