PhD student Luis Martinez describes the development of solar energy at ICFO in a UPC blog on architecture, science and technology. Researchers, teachers and students of the UPC community exchange information and knowledge through the common blog ARCITEC (Architecture, Science, Technology). The blog wants to approach academic and research topics at the university to high school and undergrad students as well as to show possible research careers for engineering students, always based on the experiences of former UPC students.

With his contribution, PhD student Luis Martinez wanted to share his experience as a telecommunication engineer who came to ICFO for a summer project, then switched into an industrial collaboration project on 3D displays and stayed for a PhD project on nanofabrication of solar cells.
