Frontier Research Schools incorporate a dynamic and social learning environment including lectures, group discussions, direct interactions with the lecturers, student talks, poster presentations, and visits to labs. Frontier Research Schools are offered in partnership with leading international organizations.

Through the SPIE@ICFO Chair for Diversity in the Photonic Sciences, ICFO offers Travel Fellowships for international masters and undergraduate students to participate in ICFO Schools, with preference given to students from developing countries.
