EUROPhotonics (EMMC)
ICFO, in collaboration with other European institutions, offerse the Erasmus Mundus Master Course (EMMC) EUROPHOTONICS in Photonics Engineering, Nanophotonics and Biophotonics. Scholarships are available for outstanding students.
ERASMUS MUNDUS is a cooperation and mobility program in the field of higher education, implemented by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and managed by the European Commission.
The EUROPHOTONICS EMMC offers an extensive two-year Master level program focusing on advanced research and applied topics in frontier research in the field of Photonics Engineering, Nanophotonics and Biophotonics, with interdisciplinary applications. Master students who take part in this program are given the opportunity to work on today’s new challenges within an academic or applied research career. Research in these fields endeavors to understand and control matter and optical phenomena at the ultimate nanometric scale, provide new imaging and monitoring tools for the most complex biological processes from cells and tissues to clinical applications, and devise new and original tools for future optical devices.
The Europhotonics Master program is organized by the following institutions:
- Paul Cézanne Aix Marseille III University (coordinating institution)
- Ecole Centrale de Marseille
- KSOP Karlsruhe School of Optics & Photonics of KIT Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
- ICFO The Institute of Photonic Sciences
- UAB Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
- UB Universitat de Barcelona
- UPC Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya
- Tampere University
- Vilnius University
There are scholarships available for deserving students who are interested in joining this Master Program. Further information can be found in the dedicated webpage of the program.
