Hour: From 10:30h to 12:00h
Place: Nest Hall & Blue Lecture Room
Solidarity Bake Sale & Light for Health Chat
This event is framed in the context of the Magic Line initiative, a solidary fundraising campaign organized by the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital Foundation. To kickstart our fundraising efforts, we are organizing a Solidarity bake sale on March 5th at 10.30 am, in the Nest Hall in front of the cafeteria.
Following the Bake Sale, a Light for Health chat led by Turgut Durduran will discuss how non-invasive photonic technologies fit into clinical environments, and illustrate a few of our previous and current accomplishments and devices in an informal, participatory manner. Join us for an open Q&A session and brainstorming, where we will explore some hot topics and remaining questions in medicine where photonics can make a significant contribution. If you, your family members or loved ones were affected by pediatric ailments, or if anything interests you, feel free to bring it up and we can see if photonics could have made a difference.
