The event will bring together experts from different communities with the goal to explore emerging trends
Optical trapping has become a transversal enabling tool involved in a wide range of experiments from fundamental Physics to Biology. In this context the event will bring together experts from different communities with the goal to explore emerging trends.
The symposium will take place as part on this year’s ICFO School on the Frontiers of Light, an annual series aimed at giving talented young researchers and students worldwide a first introduction to a thematic research area, and will be held in honour of our late colleague Prof. Dmitri Petrov.
The deadline for applications is Friday 30 June 2017.
Invited Speakers
- Kishan Dholakia (University of St Andrews)
- Lukas Novotny (ETH Zürich)
- Arno Rauschenbeutel (VCQ, Austria)
- Reuven Gordon (University of Victoria) Monika Ritsch-Marte (Medical University of Innsbruck)
- Giovanni Volpe (University of Gothenburg)
- Erwin J.G. Peterman (VU Amsterdam)
- Juan M.R. Parrondo (Complutense University of Madrid)
